Precisely as the name implies – high efficiency irrigation systems greatly reduce water use while still providing an ample supply of water to the plants and lawn areas in the landscape.

This is accomplished though a variety of methods and is equally effective in a residential setting as it is in a retail courtyard or commercial business complex.

working solutions for your garden
and landscaping irrigation.

Atlanta Water Harvest designs and installs rain harvest and irrigation systems to match your property and landscape needs and requirements. The options range from manual systems to very high-tech, self-monitoring applications.

SURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION
Drip irrigation, also known as trickle irrigation or microirrigation is an irrigation method which minimizes the use of water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either onto the soil surface or directly onto the root zone, through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters.

SUBSURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION
Subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) uses permanently or temporarily buried dripperline or drip tape located at or below the plant roots.

PRESSURE REGULATED SPRAY HEADS
Drip irrigation may also use devices called micro-spray heads, which spray water in a small area, instead of dripping emitters. These are generally used on tree and vine crops with wider root zones.

PRECIPITATION MATCHED ROTATORS
Multi-stream rotors the size of a spray nozzle that attach to sprayheads. High efficiency, low precipitation rate sprinkler head. Eliminates over and under watering.

MOISTURE SENSORS
Adds efficiency to existing sprinkler timers. Soil-moisture sensors choose which days to water while your current timer controls the length of time each station runs. Avoids over-watering and under-watering.

SMART CONTROLLERS
Weather-based irrigation management offering sustained savings and optimal plant health by eliminating overwatering. A high-end option for precise irrigation scheduling, local ET updates and proactive service.

EVAPOTRANSIRATION GAUGES
Measure daily evapotranspiration (total amount of water transferred from the earth to the atmosphere) and automatically calculates irrigation system run times to exact amount of water required for current weather conditions.

RAIN SENSORS
Rain-sensing devices that will shut off irrigation systems when a specified accumulation of rain has fallen.

WEATHER STATIONS
A more sophisticated version of rain sensors, weather stations not only override irrigation system settings with rainfall accumulations, but sense wind conditions, temperature and storm weather.
